Prior to performing, LCD frontman James Murphy sat down with Colbert about his reason for ending the band — and Murphy manages to keep up with Colbert's witty rapartee. On his decision to walk away from what Colbert calls "the rock world," "groupies," and "honey-dipped co-eds," Murphy says bluntly, "I'm 41 and at a certain point [performing] gets embarrassing.""
